Emergence | 1995-1998

With the sincerity and enthusiasm of “One shop touching a city”, Wang Weidong opened the first clothing store, which was known as the Bluesea Shell Clothing Shop. Mr. Wang Weidong established a deep relationship with fashion and clothing since then. Later, he came up with a bold idea ------ interpreting the fashion in his heart with his own brand.
In 1997, Wang Weidong, the founder of Ribo Group, and Miss Qu Jiangting founded the Ribo Clothing Design Studio in a basement in Guangzhou University, which symbolized the revolution of the brand“Broadcast”.
The next year, the trademark of “Broadcast” was registered.
Start-up | 1999-2001
In 1999, Guangzhou Ribo Clothing Co., Ltd was founded. Brand “Broadcast” officially adopted the franchised chain store operational model with agency. Urban female consumers were deeply touched by the fresh and simple Country-Chic style.
The next year, The company migrated to the Guangzhou Baiyun Industrial Park and the new factory began operation.
Brand ‘Broadcast’ held the first autumn and winter fashion show titled as “Stitches on Stone”. This was the first time that Ribo launched products through a fashion show. In the same year, the production department was set up, which was the predecessor of Ribo Zhimei Company.
Gaining a position in the market | 2003-2004
Shanghai Ribo Park which covered 108 mu lands and 28,000 square meters of floor area began construction, with a total investment of CNY 120 million.
Shanghai Ribo Park was constructed and Shanghai Ribo Clothing Co., Ltd was established. The headquarter of Ribo Group migrated to Shanghai.
Expansion | 2005-2009
New orientation of Broadcast was determined. Wang Tao, a renowned designer living in the UK, was recruited as the brand design director. Ribo was sparing no effort to create a spirit integrating the western popularity and eastern culture, a new trademark [ broadcast : 播 ] was used. Ribo entered the stage of internationalization strategy.
The same year, Shanghai Ribo Zhimei Clothing Manufacturing Co., Ltd was founded.
Ribo proposed the strategic guidelines for the next 9 years. The organizational reform and process restructuring projects were started comprehensively. C_R_Z. brand was created. In the same time, Guangzhou Tengyi Clothing Co., Ltd and Shanghai Ribo Zhixin Clothing Co., Ltd were founded. Ribo Group stepped into the multi-brand strategic development stage.
Ribo was renamed as Shanghai Ribo Industrial Limited Company and the brand [ broadcast : 播 ] won the honorary title of “Shanghai Famous-brand Product”. Shanghai Escher Spatial Design Co., Ltd was founded.
The next year, Ribo held the 10th anniversary celebrations. The open organizational structure began to take shape. Ribo Group was transforming from a business development-oriented enterprise to a strategic development-oriented one. The new slogan of “creativity leads to future success” was proposed.
Prospects | 2010-2018
In 2010, Ribo won multiple honorary titles from Shanghai, initiated the “E-commerce Project”, and opened the O2O market.
In 2011, Ribo was awarded the best employer in the clothing industry.
In 2012, [ broadcast : 播 ] won the fashion brand award of the List of Fashion Power held by Fashion Weekly.
In 2013, Ribo was renamed as the Ribo Fashion Group Co., Ltd, which indicated the beginning of collectivized operations. Business mode transformation from wholesales and retails to brand management was initiated comprehensively.
The designer brand TAORAY WANG was released for the first time in New York Fashion Week and it was launched into the market officially.
The same year, Ribo Group launched the IPO plan as well as WMS, VMI and SAP projects officially.
