In view of “Good Health and Well-fare” and “High-quality Education” which are two sustainable development goals of the United Nations, Shanghai Ribo Fashion Group insists to the principle of “coordination with public benefits and trans-industrial innovation”, and offers financial, labor and material supports to social organizations. Shanghai Ribo Fashion Group has maintained a strategic partnership with Guangdong Rici Public Welfare Foundation since 2014 and provided multiple supports to public welfare programs around China.
The Rici Foundation (officially named “Guangdong Rici Foundation”) is a non-public fundraising foundation dedicated to promoting the healthy development and well-being of children and adolescents.
Established on December 31, 2013, and registered with the Guangdong Provincial Civil Affairs Department, the foundation officially began operations in 2014. In July 2017, it was recognized as a "AAA-level Provincial Social Organization" in Guangdong Province, and in December 2017, it was designated as a charitable organization.
With strong support from the Broadcast Group, the foundation has launched various initiatives aimed at improving the mental health of children in rural areas and promoting educational equity. Drawing on theories such as Positive Psychology and Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Rici focuses on the design, operation, and support of psychological support programs. It is committed to exploring and promoting effective models of mental well-being education to enhance the broader social environment for youth development, ultimately ensuring that every child can grow up healthy and live a happy life.
The program recruits university student volunteers who are passionate about public welfare and demonstrate strong capabilities. By providing funding, course packages, and training, the program equips volunteers with foundational knowledge in child development and psychology, as well as practical skills to conduct psychological activity classes. Volunteers are then supported in organizing summer camps focused on mental resilience in rural areas, helping rural children enhance their psychological resilience and addressing the gap in mental health education in these regions.
This program empowers rural teachers by providing psychological knowledge, course materials, and comprehensive teaching support. It equips teachers to deliver mental health courses to children and adolescents aged 6–16 during the school term. The aim is to enhance students’ psychological resilience, emotional management, and interpersonal skills, ensuring every child feels loved and supported while growing into confident, joyful, compassionate, and wise individuals.
This initiative focuses on helping children from impoverished areas complete their compulsory education through middle school and pursue studies in high school or vocational schools. In addition to financial assistance, the program employs diverse psychological interventions to help students develop good habits, rebuild self-confidence, integrate into school life, and contribute to society. It also provides opportunities and platforms for public engagement and personal growth, ensuring that both recipients and donors benefit through meaningful interactions.
Centered on social-emotional skills, this program integrates positive psychology and self-compassion frameworks. By utilizing innovative design-thinking tools, it develops products tailored to the real-life needs of young people. Through effective peer-to-peer support mechanisms, the program helps prevent anxiety and depression, empowering youth to adopt a resilient and relaxed attitude toward life. It encourages them to enjoy life with a better psychological state and continuously improve their mental well-being.
